Our institution is situated in a small town (180.000 inhabitants) along the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Our town is one of Italy’s most important ports and an industrial centre of national importance.
Our schools are located in the north of the town, in the most industrialized area.
The Istituto Comprensivo Don Roberto Angeli, with approx. 1000 pupils and 100 teachers, is composed of 7 schools:
• 3 infant schools (3-6 years old) - on these schools, students are in school from 8 to 16 every day (Saturday off)
• 3 primary schools (5/6 – 10 years old) -  our primary schools are located in the north of the town, in the most industrialized area. The classrooms are quite big and well-lighted with big windows. In each class, there are 25-28 students. At the moment, our schools host about 500 students from 6-10 years old, attending from 1st to 5th grade. Our students are at School from 8 a.m. to 16 p.m (five classes from 8 to 13.24) Monday - Friday. (Saturday off). They all study Italian- History - Geography - Maths - Science – English -  Art - P.E. - ITC - Music - Christian religion or alternative subject.
• 2 secondary schools of first grade (11-13 years old) - Our secondary schools are just outside the downtown. It is easy to reach them because it is only ten minutes’ walk from the train station, very close to the High Way (variant/ side Aurelia). These schools are surrounded by a nice green garden with high trees and a parking place. The classrooms are quite big and well-lighted with big windows. In each class, there are 20-26 students. Our students are at School from 8 a.m. to 1 P.m Mon-Sat. Some of them go from 8 a.m. to two p.m. Mon- Fri (Saturday off).  They all study Italian, History, Geography, Maths, Science, English, French or Spanish, Art, P.E., ITC, Music, Christian Religion or alternative subject.
The area where the schools are located as shown in the past few years the same rate of dropout as that of the total Italian average rate (estimated by 17%).  In each class, there are foreign students, of various origins (Senegal, Nigeria, Arab countries, China, Philippines, Poland…)
Our schools have two classrooms with 12 computers with access to the internet (this is for every computer and every room in the school). Some classes have an interactive board and one class is a Cl@ss 2.0: every child has a tablet and a laptop and we have a Wi-Fi connection in the classroom.
